Captiva Marketing Unveils New Ecommerce Platform

ST. LOUIS -- In order better serve the needs of its clients, Captiva Marketing's development and search engine marketing teams collaborated to create a new, search engine-friendly, Ecommerce platform that was scalable yet cost effective for its typical client.

"Regardless of their business model, many of our clients have been looking for ways to incorporate Ecommerce into their operations," said Christopher Weis, Director of Ecommerce at Captiva Marketing. "Each client has individual Ecommerce needs. From the small online-only storefront to large distributors, we work with our clients to create a cost effective solution that is in sync with Captiva Marketing's search engine marketing strategies."

Finding an Ecommerce solution for clients in the past had posed significant challenges for Captiva Marketing even though there are currently a fair amount of Ecommerce solutions available on the market. There are low cost, hosted solutions and sophisticated, expensive solutions that integrate with ERP systems. But many of Captiva Marketing's clients needed a solution that combined certain factors from both platform types. As a result, Captiva Marketing's teams created a system that marries the right solution with clients' budgets in mind.

"Our new customizable Ecommerce solution is adaptable to a wide variety of online business plans," said Mark Forst, President of Captiva Marketing. "It is based on proven technology yet we have modified it to be more search engine friendly and easier to use. More importantly, we created a team of people skilled in ongoing Ecommerce operations to design and develop these online stores for our clients."

This new team of people includes three web developers, members from Captiva's design team and the Ecommerce group. "Realistically, the creation of this team is what truly differentiates Captiva Marketing from other software development companies that create ecommerce platforms. We are used to taking people's ecommerce sites and fixing them to make them generate more sales, now we can just build sites the right way initially and save companies a lot of time and money," said Forst.

Existing Captiva clients Sinclair & Rush and UFP Technologies are slated for the first Ecommerce sites to be built on this new platform and then the company plans to roll it out to other clients and finally new prospects in 2009.
