News Manager

With the Empoweren suite of PR solutions, anyone in your organization can successfully engage in online PR campaigns and add search engine friendly, keyword rich content to your site on a regular basis.   The suite is comprises of News Manager (an online newsroom) and Publicist (an automated press release distribution system.)

Website News Content Manager

Online newsrooms are now, more than ever, an integral part of your website. The TEK International 2007 Journalist Survey found that half of all journalists use online newsrooms at least once a week and that more than 85% use them every month. Additionally, your audience uses your online newsroom to stay in tune with new happenings within your organization.

Empoweren News Manager allows you to easily update your newsroom with press releases, events and stories.  The WYSIWIG editor lets you upload press releases into the news manager and they will then seamlessly integrate with your website.

The category function sorts press releases into topics and release types. When a new category is added, it is automatically inserted in the navigation. There is also an option to publish the story to a “news feed” that can be featured on the home page or any interior page of a site (seamless when used within the Empoweren Content Manager).

Friends of Kids with Cancer uses their News Manager to publish three different categories all of which are featured on their home page. These include traditional news, upcoming events and inspirational stories and our creative team designed unique looks for each feed.   The “Stories from the Heart” section resembles a sheet of paper and features a picture and two story links, “Upcoming Events” is fashioned after a post-it note and the news feed has the appearance of a page torn out of a spiral notebook.

On the news page, the manager adds the functionality to let visitors sort stories by dates and we can customize the feed to add short summaries about each story.
All news feeds can be managed from this easy-to-use back end interface that requires no technical skills to populate.
