As one of the largest material handling equipment distributors in the United States, Wiese possessed a fleet of 800 to 1000 used forklifts, aerial lifts, floor sweepers, and other industrial vehicles throughout its 30 facilities in seven states. Captiva Marketing had previously optimized their website for high search engine rankings and they were benefitting by having thousands of visitors per month to their website.
To capitalize on these two assets, Captiva's web development team created a customized used equipment finder application that integrated with the company's asset management system. The application allows users to select from 12 primary categories and then select according to the following criteria:
Once selected, visitors can view images of the specific piece of equipment and read details about its condition. If they like what they see, they can quickly contact a salesperson for a quote.
The application was so successful that Wiese now incorporates much of their new inventory into the system as well.
