Overview

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Healthcare and Life Sciences Team at Captiva Marketing. Creativity, drive, strategic and analytical thinking and communications, love of learning, and teamwork are key attributes for this position.

This is a full-time position available in our St. Louis office (local candidates preferred).

Responsibilities
  • Create both internal and external strategic communications plans for various initiatives
  • Research and write scientific and healthcare-oriented content for a range of audiences
  • Review and synthesize data across digital platforms to create reports and make recommendations for clients
  • Assist with creating and maintaining written and visual content on client websites
  • Research and understand key audiences to create relevant messaging and ad copy
  • Coordinate and manage creative projects with design, development, and multimedia teams
  • Communicate with clients in a timely and professional manner

Additional tasks may include:

  • Assist with office administrative duties
  • Stay up to date on trends in digital marketing and communications and in client industries
  • Help manage digital advertising campaigns
  • Assist with social media campaigns
  • Assist with project management
Skill Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of digital marketing or communications experience
  • 4-year degree in Communications, Marketing, PR or related field
  • Strong writing and verbal communication
  • Organization and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Research and synthesis of primary sources
  • Understanding of information architecture
  • Ability to interpret and execute against branding guidelines
  • Ability to work well on a cross-functional team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity of Social Media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Familiarity with content management systems, such as WordPress, Salesforce, or Adobe Experience Manager

 Preferred Skills (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, Marketo, or Pardot
  • Familiarity with online advertising platforms, such as Google Ads
  • Familiarity with website analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics
  • Some knowledge of HTML
  • Some knowledge of SEO
  • Some knowledge of Adobe programs— inclusive of Photoshop, Acrobat, or Adobe Experience Manager (CMS)
  • Comfort with scientific and/or technical reading and writing or experience in a healthcare or scientific context is ideal, but not required
