Captiva Marketing is seeking an experienced Local SEO Specialist to assist with implementing strategies for clients looking to improve their presence within the local search results. You will join our existing SEO/SEM team that shares a common focus of growing quality traffic and driving qualified leads by understanding each client’s goals and implementing the latest trends in local search engine optimization.

This is a full-time position consisting of a flexible hybrid workplace model at our St. Louis office (local candidates preferred).

  • Research, test, and analyze SEO strategies.
  • Drive implementation of emerging and advanced local SEO tactics for new and existing clients.
  • Improve clients’ online presence by syndicating NAP data and optimizing citations on key platforms including Google Business Profiles, Bing Places, Yelp, and Apple Maps, while aiding with the citation verification process.
  • Analyze Google Analytics to provide data-driven recommendations for SEO improvements.
  • Identify link building opportunities for improved local search presence.
  • Create high-quality and relevant optimized content.
  • Establish and manage keyword targeting for on-page SEO strategies.
  • Assist with SEO audits using the latest technology and direct assessment for best practices, ideation, and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with internal / external teams for integrating SEO improvements.
  • Maintain working knowledge of current trends in SEO, local SEO, Google algorithm updates, etc.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Skill Requirements
  • Minimum 2-5 years of SEO experience
  • Google and/or SEO Certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of local search ranking factors
  • Experience using tools like BrightLocal, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Semrush, and Moz
  • Knowledge / experience with Paid Search are a plus (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising)
  • Google Local Service Ads experience is a plus
  • Ability to write creative and unique content
  • Solid problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
